AP Budget Highlights

Vijayawada, Feb 05: The Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has proposed an expenditure of Rs 2,26,177.53 crore for the financial year 2019-20 as budget, on Tuesday in Assembly here.

In this regard, The budget is with revenue expenditure estimated at Rs 1,80,369.33 crore and capital expenditure estimated at around Rs 29,596.53 crore, which includes Rs 8,994 crore towards principal repayment of public debt.

According to the details, The 2019-20 budget estimates entail an overall increase of around 18.38 % over the 2018-19 budget estimates. While the revenue expenditure is estimated to increase by around 20.03%, the capital expenditure is estimated to grow by around 3.20% over the 2018-19 financial year.

The estimated revenue deficit is around Rs 2,099.47 crore and the fiscal deficit is estimated at around Rs 32,390.68 crore. The fiscal deficit will be around 3.03 % of the GSDP, whereas the revenue deficit would be around 0.20 % of the GSDP.

Revised Estimates 2018-19: The revised estimate for revenue expenditure is Rs 158,858.53 crore, whereas for capital expenditure it is Rs 25,021.34 crore. The revenue deficit for 2018-19 is estimated to be Rs2, 494.12 crore, whereas the fiscal deficit for the same period is estimated to be Rs 29,141.72 crore, which amount to 0.27 % and 3.14 % of the GSDP respectively.
