Mahesh Babu to appear in Nampally court

Hyderabad March 03: Superstar Mahesh Babu's got blockbuster hit with 'Srimanthudu' Movie but now he received a summons for the movie.

The First Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Court in Nampally issued summons to Mahesh Babu and Koratala Siva regarding the copyrights issue of 'Srimanthudu'. High Court now issued a stay on the summons issued to the Makers of the blockbuster flick.

Hyderabad-based Writer RD Wilson alias Sarath Chandra filed a petition against Mahesh Babu, Koratala Siva and Srimanthudu Producers for alleged copyrights violation. He alleges 'Srimanthudu' was made copying his novel 'Chachentha Prema' which was published in the year 2012.

He sought cases to be booked as per relevant sections of IPC against the makers. On January 24th, First Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Court issued summons to Srimanthudu Team asking them to appear before it.



Mahesh Babu Entertainment Pvt Ltd and Koratala Siva moved High Court seeking quash of the petition. High Court Justice A Shankaranarayana issued a stay order on the summons of Nampally Court.

The movie was one of was the blockbuster hit in 2015 and also it also got Awards.
