There are Covid concerns in the Ipl 2021, KKR Vs RCB match postponed.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) may have plunged into a crisis with players in Kolkata Knight Riders testing positive for COVID-19. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that Mondays (May 3) game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore has now been postponed after KKRs Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier tested positive for COVID-19.

The COVID trail started when Chakravarthy was taken to hospital for an abdominal issue. Later, when Warier tested positive (the contact-tracing could lead to Chakravarthy), and the entire KKR camp went into immediate quarantine in their Ahmedabad hotel.

"All other team members have tested negative for COVID -19, said a statement from BCCI.

After a communication had gone from the BCCI office to Ahmedabad, the venue of the Mondays game, and local organisers Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) were told that the game will be rescheduled. A new date for what was due to be Game 30 of the season is yet to be announced though, the GCA members.
