Akhil Akkineni was launched in a very dreamy way, with a lot of expectations surrounding his debut film Akhil. However, the movie terribly flopped at the box office, leaving a very bad taste in everyone's mouths.
Akhil tried his best to score better with his 2nd film, Hello, directed by Vikram Kumar. Although the film fared better than Akhil's 1st film, it still disappointed everyone. Akhil's luck didn't change even with his 3rd film, with even Mr. Majnu bombing at the box office.
Akhil is currently working on Most Eligible Bachelor, under the direction of Bommarillu Bhaskar. All of Akhil's hopes now lie on the fate of this film. According to the latest reports, director Surender Reddy is interested in working with Akhil, but no producers are willing to finance the film.
Even Nagarjuna is said to have shown no interest in producing this film, as Akhil has not been able to prove himself yet. If even Most Eligible Bachelor fails, then Akhil's future will surely be a huge question mark for everyone.
