In what could be considered as an interesting development, England and Australia players might be missing the first week of the Indian Premier League which is commencing on September 19th.

The players will not be able to travel to UAE due to the travel restrictions on their respective countries.

The likes of Steven Smith, Jofra Archer, David Warner, Aaron Finch, Glenn Maxwell, Ben Stokes, and Pat Cummins are expected to miss the opening week of the tournament.

However, South Africa has allotted travel permission to its players and they will be available for the tournament right from the start.

Almost all the franchises are expected to leave to UAE by the end of this month and start training camps.

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League is all set to kick-start in a month from now. All the players will be tested for coronavirus prior to the commencement of the tournament.
