These areas will be under strict lockdown even after May 3rd

The government of India is planning to relax the lockdown protocols in the country, based upon the intensity of the virus in a particular area, and what zone an area come under.

The government has identified 130 districts as red zones, 284 districts as orange zones and 319 districts as green zones. The government hasn't yet specified what kind of exceptions will be given in orange and green zones.

An area is identified as a green zone if it doesn't report a single case in 21 days. Of the 130 red zone districts, all of India's major metropolitan cities are a part. These cities include Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad.

The Prime Minister is expected to address the nation in a day or two, as the second phase of the nationwide lockdown will come to an end on May 3rd.
