Andhra Governor staff members test COVID-19 positive

At a time, when anxiety is gripping with increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh, here comes another shocker. In a major development, four staff members of Andhra Pradesh Governor tested positive for Coronavirus on Sunday.



Special Chief Secretary (Health) KS Jawahar Reddy said that all the four members have been shifted to hospital for further treatment. Subsequently, the officials carried out disinfectant operations at Raj Bhavan and also deployed a drone to spray sodium hypochlorite in the premises. With the latest developments, the Governor may also undergo a COVID-19 test soon.

Recently, Sanjeev Kumar, YSRCP MP from Kurnool, revealed that six of his family members have tested positive for Covid-19. Vijayawada is one of the four hotspost in the state. And on Sunday, large number of Covid-19 positive were reported from the City. Out of 81 new positive cases, Vijayawada accounted for 52 cases. The total number of positive cases in the state has gone to 1,097.
