AP municipal elections – Key info about the schedule

Andhra Pradesh municipal elections schedule was finally released today and all the politics parties in the state have to plan their campaign accordingly.

Elections for the municipal commissions will be held on March 23rd and the results will be out on March 27th.

Interestingly enough, Panchayat Raj elections will be held in two phases. While the first phase of polling will be held on March 27th, the second phase will take place on 29th.

There are just over two weeks left for the polls and YCP, TDP, and Janasena-BJP will be looking to make the most of the elections.

Notably, the opposition parties, Telugu Desam, Janasena, and BJP have asked the election commission to postpone the election, saying they isn't enough time to prepare for the polls. The election commission is expected to respond to this request soon.
