Jagan approaches high court

The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had recently requested the CBI court to exempt him from attending the hearings regarding his alleged 'Illegal assets' case. However, the CBI court rejected Jagan's request and ordered him to attend the hearings without fail.

The latest update is that Jagan has approached the high court of Andhra Pradesh to exempt him from attending CBI court.

Jagan stated that he is presently serving as the chief minister of the state and it would be tough for him to make time to attend the court every week.

In response, the high court has asked the CBI to file a detailed counter to this case. Further proceedings in this regard will be taking place on February 6th.
