Hyderabad, Aug 19: Super Star Mahesh Babu has joined the list of Tollywood stars who have donated for the flood victims in the state of Kerala. In an admirable gesture, the actor yesterday donated RS 25 lakhs to the Kerala chief minister distress relief fund.
For the last 10 days, Kerala has been devastated with continuous rains and flash floods. More than 350 civilians have lost thier lives and over 2 lakhs people became homeless due to the heavy downpour. rescue and relief operations have been underway amid highly challenging conditions.
Earlier, Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan donated 25 lakhs each, Upasana pledged to give medicines worth 10 lakhs. Chiru's mother Anjana Devi donated 1 lakh rupees.
Last week, Allu Arjun has also chipped in for the victims by contributing 25 lakhs to the Chief Minister's fund. He said in a statement that people of Kerala will occupy a special place in his heart for their love and affection.
