Venkaiah Nadu meets Karunanidhi

New Delhi, July 29: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday visited a private hospital in Chennai to inquire about the health condition of DMK chief M Karunanidhi.

From this perspective Naidu said doctors informed that Karunanidhi's condition was stable.

"Visited Kaveri Hospital and met former Chief Minister Thiru Kalaignar Karunanidhi. Met his family members and doctors and enquired about his health. Doctors said he is stable. Wish him a speedy recovery," Naidu tweeted.

Trinamool Congress MP Derek O'Brien visits Kauvery Hospital and says, "I met Mr Stalin. Doctors are doing their best. On behalf of Bengal we wish him a speedy recovery. "

According to the hospital, the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister was stable with ongoing medical support.

On Saturday, in an official statement that was issued by the hospital, Executive Director of Kauvery Hospital, Dr Aravindaran Selvaraj said that the 94-year-old leader is "being continuously monitored and treated by the panel of expert doctors in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)."
