Mumbai, Jul 02: Bollywood Star Hero Ranbir Kapoor's highly-anticipated film 'Sanju', a biopic of Bollywood controversial star Sanjay Dutt, has crossed a century mark with a gross of 120 crores in the first weekend.
The movie created a record by being all-time highest grosser at the Indian box office in the first weekend.
Along with that, the film also set up a new record by being the highest single day grosser. Sanju collected 46.71 crores on Sunday by surpassing Baahubali The Conclusion's record. Baahubali earlier collected 46.50 crores on a single day.
The trade analyst Taran Adarsh informed the film’s collections on Twitter by writing, "#Sanju creates H-I-S-T-O-R-Y… Records HIGHEST SINGLE DAY for a HINDI film… DEMOLISHES the record held by #Baahubali2 [Hindi]… #Baahubali2 had collected Rs.46.50 cr on Day 3 [Sun]… #Sanju has surpassed it, collects Rs. 46.71 cr on Day 3 [Sun].
