Confirmed: Vidya Balan to romance NBK

Hyderabad, June 09: It's known that veteran Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna is portraying the lead role in the biopic of his father N.T. Rama Rao, late legendary actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Directed by Vedam Fame Krish, the film titled NTR has been produced by Nandamuri Balakrishna.

The rumours are finally confirmed – Vidya Balan will be playing the role of Basavatharakam, NTR’s wife, in the NTR biopic.

The actress has signed on the dotted line, and she is expected to join the Hyderabad schedule of the film’s shoot in mid-July.

"Vidya is apparently inspired by how Basavatharakam led her life narrated by Krish(director), as a woman. Despite being a mother to 13 kids, she was a pillar of support to NTR, and she steered the family while he was busy juggling films and politics. All of this will be portrayed in an interesting manner in the film, and Vidya is super-excited to be a part of it," a source from the unit told.
