Naga Chaitanya said NO; Nagarjuna said YES

Hyderabad, June 02: Naga Chaitanya is one of those heroes who always make the movies selectively. And the role ANR in 'Mahanati' is not an exception from that.

In an interview with the media, Chaitu spoke about his role in Mahanati:

"I was very much scared when Nag Ashwin approached me for my grandfather's role in 'Mahanati'. Soon I said No and he forced me to do so, I asked him to give some time.

Then after I thought to ask my dad, If he says 'No' I can reason it so that I can escape easily. But, when I discussed this with dad, he encouraged me not to give up this opportunity.

That is how I had done this film. Now I'm very happy to see the responses to my role in this role."
