Air India to serve only veg meals

New Delhi, July 10: A shock has been received today. Air India has decided to stop serving Non-Vegetarian meals for the passengers traveling in Economy class.

The airline has said that this decision would be applicable only to domestic passengers and International passengers would avail non-veg meals. Sources say that airlines has taken this decision to cut the costs of airlines.Currently, the airlines are reeling in RS 52000 crore debt.

Officials say that this move would save Rs 7-8 crore annually and would reduce wastage, reduce cost and improve catering service of the airlines. They have also said that currently, the demand for non-veg meals is very low.Earlier the management has decided to cut salad from meals served.

Finally, many nonveg passengers have protested against this decision and said that they are ready to pay more price but they wouldn't compromise on the food served. However many environmentalists have hailed this move because this would maintain ecological balance.
