Supreme Court to digitize its Records

New Delhi July 3: A good news from the Judiciary. Supreme Court will soon go paperless and the apex court has made all the preparations to implement the project. SC officials say that the project would be implemented in a phase wise manner.

In the first phase matters pertaining to first 5 courts would be accessed by the judges digitally on an interactive display device. The officials have said that all the high courts in the country had been provided with login IDs so that they can upload digitized records in the prescribed format.

The court has said a press release regarding this issue and we are gradually implementing the project because it involves a new method of working with Judges and lawyers. The court has said that we have developed an integrated case management information system (ICMIS) for digitizing the supreme court.

Court has also held video conferences with High courts to speed up the process and they have even kept reception desks at the entrance of lower courts regarding the digitization process. Lets hope that court completes its ambitious project in time so that just will be delivered quickly.
