Irrfan Khan says Baahubali is the wake-up call to Bollywood

Mumbai May 18: Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan, who was also acted in some Hollywood biggie movies like 'The Amazing Spiderman' and 'Jurassic World'. Now he opined that time has come for Bollywood to learn from South Indian cinema and Baahubali is a wake-up call to Hindi movie makers.

Irrfan Khan cited Baahubali as an example and said that the standards of south Indian films have increased over the years and that they are now coming to compete with the Hindi films.



"South films are no more regional movies and Baahubali has proved that a good movie can capture the whole Indian market irrespective of what language it has been made. Bollywood needs to improve its standards to sustain competition from the onslaught of South as well as Hollywood films,' he said.

Irrfan is currently busy promoting his new movie, 'Hindi Medium', which is slated for a release on May 19.
