Jeevan Reddy reveals about reservations hike

Hyderabad April 16: Telangana Congress party legislator T Jeevan Reddy while supporting the Telangana Reservation Bill, 2017, which was introduced in Assembly on Sunday said Telangana govt should ensure its inclusion in the 9th schedule of the Indian constitution.

Jeevan Reddy said that unless Telangana State govt mounted pressure on the central government for its inclusion in the 9th schedule there was no meaning of passing this Bill today. He also said due to delay in introduction of reservation Bill in the Assembly BC-E and STs lost their valuable three years.

The Congress leader found fault with the govt in hiking the BC-E reservation to 12 per cent instead of 10 per cent as recommended by the State BC commission
