Hyderabad February 15: Telangana Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao has directed commissioners concerned to focus on providing basic amenities keeping future needs based on population and individual master plans.He also added that the 5 rupee meal will be extended to other three districts Karimnagar, Warangal, Nizamabad in order to give full-fledged meals to the people.He stated.At a Brisk-level review meeting on Tuesday, KTR asked them to give priority to civic amenities such as roads, markets, toilets, parks, bus bays and bus shelters. Some special funds will be allotted in the budget for the purpose and priority should be given to roads, toilets, power and other amenities based on population, he said. As per Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao s vision, the officials should implement a long-term plan to see that the corporations and municipalities get better amenities.Works should be done on a mission mode to ensure that towns get adequate toilets for people, besides community toilets and set up sign boards showing the way for the same to avoid open defecation, construct model markets for vegetarian and non-vegetarian and mechanized Kabelas. Public cemeteries should be made available in towns on the lines one Mahaprasthanam in Hyderabad, KTR said and asked the officials to improve power supply by putting up LED bulbs and coordinate with collectors for double bedroom housing scheme and focus on sanitation. Cases should be filed against those involved in putting up flexes and wall writings, he said and warned of stringent action against the commissioners if contract and outsourcing employees work with mayors, corporators and officials.
