Nizamabad February 14: A ruthless father killed his own daughter brutally and cremated her in Nizamabad, as she fell in love with a backward cast boy and wanted to marry him.While going to matter, In a ghastly incident of honor killing, a father killed his daughter by setting her ablaze on January 27 because she wanted to marry a man from a different caste.The details of the incident, which took place at Amrad in Ditchpally mandal of Nizamabad district, came to light on Monday after the father confessed to his crime.Nizamabad ACP P Anand Kumar said Kareddy Rajanna, who belongs to the Munnuru Kapu caste, was against the relationship between his 18-year-old daughter, Kareddy Roja, a second year BSc student of Nalanda Degree College in Nizamabad, with Sai Kumar, a Schedule Caste from the same village.When the couple approached Rajanna stating their wish to be married, he objected and warned Roja to keep away from Sai. But the two were determined to get married, which led to Rajanna hatching a plot to eliminate his daughter to protect his family honour, the police said. Rajanna roped in six others in the murder plot, the police said.Rajanna and his aides took Roja to an isolated place on the outskirts of Padkal village on the midnight of January 27, poured petrol on her and set her ablaze. The police found her body the next day and registered a case of an unidentified body found.
