Mumbai December 8 : Some of the colleges in Mumbai had made a statement that students will no longer suppose to wear ripped or torn jeans and sleeveless on campus.Eventhough in the statement it is cleared that: "Girls are asked to vacate campus at 7 pm and they don t have access to a library or labs on campus" St Xavier s College and Wilson colleges are welcoming the statements.Both the colleges of the students alleged that "It doesn t make sense. Why is the rule applicable to students of one department" asked a second-year BMM student from Wilson. A student of St Xavier s, who was stopped by the security guard for wearing torn jeans, said the restriction was unreasonable"Girls are asked to vacate campus at 7 pm and they don t have access to a library or labs on campus" said a fourth-year engineering studentAccording to students phenomena, the restrictions increase during festivals. For example, at Wilson, students both boys and girls are supposed to vacate campus after 6 pm. However, during fests, boys are allowed to stay till midnight while girls are asked to leave early.
