German Chancellor Re elected

Berlin Mar 14: In a major development German Chancellor Angela Merkel was re-elected to the German Parliament for a record fourth term on Wednesday.She would be sworn in the evening on Wednesday.Sources said that it has ended many months of political uncertainty in Germany.Earlier the SPD has formed a coilation and this has ensured the majority .SPD has voted in favor of the CDU got 399 seats in the 709-seat German Parliament.The SPD got 153 seats, the Merkel-led CDU got 246 seats.Sources said that "this will be the third grand coalition between the ruling CDU and the SPD since 2005."
