Women Committed Suicide over Harassment

Hyderabad, October 30: Nowadays harassment on wife s are increasing rapidly, here such a case has happened in Hyderabad here on Sunday. The Incident took place at Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.According to the reports,"A 30-year-old housemaid committed suicide by hanging at her residence in Banjara Hills due to harassment from her husband." The Report further added that The deceased was identified as A. Laxmamma, a resident of Indiranagar in Banjara Hills. "She was married to one Purushottam, a mason worker, in 2003 and the couple has two children," said the police. The husband was having an extramarital affair and was ignoring Laxmamma since few days. "He used to harass her by commenting on her looks and recently started demanding Rs 15,000 from her. Unable to bear the harassment", she committed suicide. Meanwhile, A case was booked against Purushottam under section 306 (Abetment of suicide) of IPC and an investigation was started.
