Hyderabad Metro to operate using CBTC,OCC and not driver

Hyderabad Oct 26: The Hyderabad Metro Rail project will be inaugurated next month by PM Modi and currently the works have reached the final stages of Ameerpet Interchange station. Touted to be the one of the high technologically advanced project. The metro has utilised some crucial software and other high technology to operate the trains# Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) This technology helps the metro officials to operate the train Automatically without the presence of Driver.Automatic Train Operation(ATP) and Automatic Train Protection(ATO) areintegral part of CBTC which help the officials to monitor the operations of trains via control Room.Computer-based Interlocking system (CBIC) will help the officials to to stop the train in an emergency so that passengers can be safely evacuated.# Contactless Fare media (CFC)The officials have installed highly technological Automatic Ticket Vending Machines which work on Contactless fare media technology.TRhe Money will be Automatically detected from the card when it is placed on the machines.The entry and exit of the passengers are restricted if they have not bought tickets and people can enter or exit the station only after electronic gates open when the ticket is placed.Operation Control Centre (OCC)This is the heart of Metro rail operations.The officials decide the speed of the train, the halt timings of the train etc after observing all the trains.
