Police constable vacancies clearance

Hyderabad, March 14: A Division Bench of Hyderabad High Court comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice Shameem Akhter on Monday permitted the Telangana government and State Level Police Recruitment Board to complete the appointments for the posts of Police constables. These appointments will be subject to the judgement of the court.



The high court has conditionally agreed on the recruitment of constables in Telangana. HC has given green signal to the recruitment of constables except for 18 Home Guards. Court ordered that the government should do the recruitments following the final judgment of the court.

Court adjourned the next hearing for two weeks. Many of the candidates approached court over the injustice done to them in the recruitments over which Police Recruitment Board also demanded an explanation.

Board Chairman Poorna Chandra Rao attended Court today and requested the permission of the court to do medicals and verification of certificates of the selected candidates.
