There is no compromise on the quality of 2BHK houses:KTR

Sircilla, March 10: The Telangana Minister for IT, Municipal Administration and Urban Development KT Rama Rao has laid a foundation stone for 1,260 double bedroom houses at an estimated cost of Rs 76 crore near Textile Park here on Friday at Mandepally village under Tangallapalli Mandal.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the government has plans to construct 4,135 double bedroom houses in Sircilla Assembly constituency.The double bedroom houses provided by the State government are not just structures for dwelling but they indicate the self-respect of the poor as part of its slogan of dignity housing.

The government has already accorded administrative sanctions to 2,135 houses and another 2,000 will be sanctioned soon, he added.

"In all, the government will construct 2.60 lakh houses with an outlay of Rs 18,000 crore. The number of houses constructed by other states in the country is now here near to that of Telangana government.There would be no compromise on the quality" KTR said,



Moreover, there is no interference of politicos in the identification of beneficiaries, he asserted, stating that scheme will continue till all the shelterless are provided with one.

Each unit, coming up on 560 sq feet land at an estimated cost of Rs 5.30 lakh, are in fact worth around Rs 15 lakh in the open market, KTR claimed. He told the District Collector, Krishna Bhaskar to ensure sand supply free of cost for the construction of double bedroom houses.

Addressing the ASHA workers, who poured out their problems, KTR assured them that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will fulfill the demands of all the employees in the State. Earlier, Mamindla Dasharatham, who took charge as the DPRO of Rajanna-Sircilla district, met KTR and offered him a bouquet.
