Woman commits suicide due to depression

Jaipur March 11: A woman had committed suicide here on Friday police said in a statement.

While coming to matter, According to the Jaipur police officials, A woman assistant professor of the Rajasthan university allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan.

30-year-old Akanksha Chauhan, a mother of a three-year-old girl, hanged herself around 1.30 AM, Adarsh Nagar police station SHO Madan Singh said.

She was an assistant professor in the Home Science department of the University of Rajasthan.

In her suicide note, Akanksha has mentioned that she was suffering from depression and no one should be held responsible for her taking the extreme step, the officer added..

She was married to a central excise department official in 2011. The body has been handed over to the family members, the Police officer said.
