Good message by great actresses

Hyderabad March 9: On the occasion of International women's day Tollywood beauty Taapsee and Bollywood Actress Sarva Bhaskar had expressed on women's safety and security.

In a video posted by BookMyStyle on YouTube, the two women are seen giving out a powerful message to females - 'We are women, we are born with it, and if you have it, flaunt it. It's your body and it's your right to celebrate your body'.

At first, it seems like a the two actors are giving out lessons on styling, teaching women 'how much cleavage is good cleavage'. But towards the end, the underlying message is revealed. And we must say that the empowering message that hides underneath the sarcasm is applaudable.



In the recent past, there have been several instances when the 'so-called-educated' people of our society, our ministers and even at times our near and dear ones have blamed a woman's dressing sense for being the real reason behind molestation, harassment and even rape.

And ever since the issue of women's safety and security has been discussed and debated nationally, people have gone on record to say that a woman's safety is in her own hands. Not only have people blamed a woman for venturing out late night, but have also gone on record to say that every female must watch what she wears and how much (of her body) she shows off.

But, this International Women's Day, two female actors -Swara Bhaskar and Taapsee Pannu- who have been quite vocal about women's rights, gender equality and other social causes, have a strong message for all the ladies out there.
