Savings account to be link with Aadhar and Mobile number: Collector

Karimnagar March 7: In order to implement the digital transactions in the banking sector Karimangar Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed appealed to the customers of all banks to link up their mobile and Aadhaar card numbers to their savings accounts.

He conducted a meeting with the officials of various banks at the conference hall in the Collectorate here on Monday.

Speaking at the meeting, the Collector directed the bank officials to take steps for linking Aadhaar card and mobile numbers of their customers to their saving accounts to carry out digital transactions.

Responding to the Collector, the bank officials informed him that about 64 per cent of customers have already linked their Aadhaar card numbers to their savings account and 72 per cent of them have linked their mobile numbers.

The customers will get sms messages about the details of their transactions to their mobiles after every digital cash transaction.

The Collector ordered the officials to complete 100 per cent linking up of Aadhaar card and mobile numbers of the customers to their savings account by March 31, which would benefit the customers and helps to carry out digital transactions.
