Supreme Court orders Rs. 3.5 lakh compensation to Acid Attack victim

New Delhi, February 28: As we knew that, many of women have been turned into victims of acid attacks.

While coming to the matter, A woman was attacked with acid by a person to disagree for marriage, which was happened in 2003.

The High court had given as judgment that accused person must be punished by one-year imprisonment and Rs.5000 as fine. The victim does n't satisfied with his punishment then she appealed to a supreme court.

The supreme court alleged on High court's judgment for small punishment to the accused person. It states that, "There is a strong evidence of doctor certification of woman, who got suffered by the acid attack, There is meaning for less punishment to accused person".

Based on victim appeals Supreme court judges of justice deepak misra, R. Bhanumathi has given judge as accused person should give Rs.50000 rupees and Andhra Pradesh government should give 3.5 lakh to victim.
