APPSC Group-2 exams are held on Sunday

Amaravati, February 26: AP Public Service Commission (APPSC) is conducting the Group-2 preliminary exams for various posts in Andhra Pradesh, which is held on Sunday.

This is the first exam after the bifurcation of united Andhra Pradesh, also the first under the TDP governance.

Nearly 6.57 lakh unemployed youth applied for the Group-2 exams and more than 5.5 lakh applicants downloaded their Hall Tickets by Friday evening, said Pinnamaneni Udayabhaskar, Chairman of APPSC.



He explained that all necessary precautions have been taken to smoothly conduct these exams and stated that nearly 5 lakh aspirants may appear for these exams. As two other exams coincided with this, some students may not attend for the Group-2 exam, he added.

Udayabhaskar said that the aspirants would appear for the exam in nearly 1400 centers, of which 60 centers are in Hyderabad, the common capital of both the Telugu speaking states including AP and Telangana.

Though, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu promised to issue notification every year, during the 2014 general elections, the aspirants were forced to wait for nearly 3 years.
