"That is KCR" book was released

Hyderabad February 17: Telangana Finance Minister Eatala Rajender on Thursday released a book authored by journalist Juluri Gouri Shankar titled "That is KCR" at Secretariat here.

A member of Telangana BC Commission, Gauri Shankar penned the book depicting the Telangana agitation, statehood fight by TRS and how Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao championed the cause.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said, TRS under the leadership of KCR fought for the statehood for 14 long years and achieved Telangana State.

"After getting statehood, KCR is tirelessly striving to achieve Golden Telangana by fulfilling all promises for inclusive growth, all-round development, and welfare. KCR transformed the youngest State in becoming No 1 at the National level in welfare", he claimed.

The author also narrated about the 1969 movement, repercussions, injustices meted out on the Telangana region by Andhra leaders in terms of river waters, jobs and resources.

A protracted struggle, supported by all political parties, helped the TRS wrest statehood after overcoming the hurdles, he added.
