R. Narayana Murthy fires on Big-budget movies

Hyderabad January 07: People's star R. Narayana Murthy's Latest movie 'Head constable Venkatramaiah' is going to hit the screen on the eve of Sankranthi. Narayana Murthy fired on Big-budget movies.

He was fired on all lavish movies that they are occupying all the theatres not given any chance for small movies to play in centres and He pointed out that big-budget and star-studded films are occupying all the festivals, public holidays and prime period leaving the dull, lean period to small-films.

He appealed the to chamber, producers council and even government to step into the issue as it's their responsibility to ensure theatres to release a film.So that small films also can develop.

He said that "Are small-films only there to feed the theatres? Can't we have the release for holidays? Let small films too have theatres and let people decide their fate. Without even releasing, how one would tell whether it's competition or not?"
