50% of reservations on OBC,SC,ST castes: Bihar Govt.

Patna, December 28: As We know that,Indian constituency had more reservations towards backward class people.Similarly, The Bihar Government has made the declaration of 50 percent reservations in Judicial Services for the candidates who belong to Other Backward Classes, Extremely Backward Classes, Scheduled Tribes, and Scheduled Castes.

The reservation criteria will be for Subordinate Judicial Services and Superior Judicial Services both. As per the decision of Nitish Cabinet, the candidates who belong to extremely backward class (EBC) will be given 21 percent reservation.

The other backward classes (OBC) will be given 12 percent reservations including Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe, which will have 16 percent and 1 percent reservation respectively in all the all judicial services in the Bihar State.

These details have been provided by D.S. Gangwar, principal secretary of general administration department. Along with this, he added that there will be 35 per cent "horizontal reservation" for women and 1 per cent reservation for disabled persons in all the categories.

As per Mr Gangwar, This decision has been taken by the Bihar Government "In view of the Supreme Court order in the State of Bihar.

In view of the huge number of vacancies in the judicial services, it is desirable that the whole exercise must be completed expeditiously, preferably by January 1, 2017. Thereafter, the process for filling up the vacancies shall be taken up by all concerned and completed by June 30, 2017", the Court said.
