Immediately release Rs. 1,350 Crores

Hyderabad witnessed a disastrous 48 hours, with rains pouring down in several places all over the city, and causing major destruction. As many as 32 people have been killed because of the rain waters that are flooding in Hyderabad.


Chief Minister KCR has written a letter to the Prime Minister about this, stating that the state has incurred a loss of Rs. 5000 Crores due to these rain floods. KCR also requested the Prime Minister to immediately release Rs. 1,350 Crores, for rehabilitation and relief works in the wake of heavy rains.

While the depression that persisted over Hyderabad for the last 48 hours has passed today, situations in many areas are still dire. Minister for municipal administration and urban development K T Rama Rao said that nearly 40 relief camps have been set up in the city, where food and water are being made available for nearly 80,000 people.
