Coronavirus: India records highest tests in a single day

The number of coronavirus cases are only increasing in India with every passing day. We have recorded the most number of cases in the world on some days, surpassing the single day count of both the US and Brazil, two countries that are more affected than us.

With more testing, the number of cases are also increasing. In the last 24 hours, India has tested more than 9 Lakh samples, the most so far, in a single day.


On the other hand, despite testing at least 7 lakh to 8 lakh tests a day, the positivity figure has come down from 10.03% to 7.72%. This is especially good, considering the way at which a few states have been infected by the virus.

The current rate of recovery is also above 73%, and is slowly inching towards 75%. If the rate of recovery keeps increasing this way, then India will be closer to avenging this deadly virus sooner, rather than later. With a vaccine, it would be all the more easier, whenever a vaccine is made available.

Coronavirus continues to keep infecting more and more people globally. More than 7 Lakh people have lost their lives to this pandemic in the world so far.
