KTR holds Cabinet Meeting!

In what could be termed as passing on the baton to his son. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao seems to be slowly, but for sure, handing over the reins of the state to Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) leader and minister in his cabinet, KTR! It looks like yesterday's cabinet ministers meeting with KTR at Pragathi Bhavan was to test waters as how KTR would handle the meeting, what would be the reactions of the cabinet ministers. To KCR's happiness everything went as they imagined and there has been no complaints of minister calling his colleagues for a meeting!

For the first time since Telangana was formed and KCR became the CM, cabinet ministers met at Pragathi Bhavan without the CM and that too at the behest of KTR. The minister for urban development and municipal administration, industries and IT had called his cabinet colleagues to meet and discuss about food processing and logistics policy. The meeting was attended by council of ministers, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar; Planning commission vice chairman Vinodh Kumar and chief advisor Rajiv Sharma.

The meeting went on well, there was no questioned asked not even by a single minister or a senior official about the CM or why was almost a cabinet meet being held without the CM. Everyone attended the meet with all sincerity and listened to KTR. To top it all, KTR tweeted that the meeting was being held under the instructions of CM KCR, since the CM was in Erravalli farmhouse.

The meeting of KTR on key policy matters without the presence of the CM has become the talk of the town. Until yesterday, all the meetings were chaired by KCR and he was taking decisions starting from comprehensive population survey to recent seasonal farming. All these decision for the state have been taken by the CM from Pragathi Bhavan, for the first time major policy decision on food processing and logistics was held without his presence and that too his son leading the meeting which went on for more than 8 hours.

Usually, a cabinet sub-committee, with industries minister (KTR) heading the committee would be formed to discuss and finalise the policy. That didn't happen, instead all the ministers were called for meeting along with senior officers from all the departments. This has become the topic of discussion among all the political circles in the state.

Meanwhile, TRS leaders are seen celebrating the meeting with council of minister by KTR and hoped that the day is not far away when KTR would be reviewing various departments in place of the CM. Some MLAs said that the meeting was just a rehearsal and actuals will start very soon. The TRS leaders wished that KTR become the CM at the earliest to lead the state into more developed path.
