Sarileru Neekevvaru..Perfect Treat For Sankranthi

Superstar Mahesh Babu's highly-anticipated family entertainer, Sarileru Neekevvaru is carrying huge expectations among the audience. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film has hit the screens all over today. Let's analyze it.

Story:

After a rescue operation in Kashmir, Major Ajay Krishna (Mahesh Babu) lands in Kurnool to deal with a serious problem. Soon after entering, he confronts Prakash Raj's men and their atrocities. The rest of the story is as to how he teaches them a lesson and where does Vijayashanthi features in this setup.

Analysis:

After almost a decade, Mahesh Babu is seen in a full-on energetic role and is a feast for his fans who were waiting to see him in such a mass role. His comedy timing and powerful performance in all the confrontation scenes will be loved by the audience. The surprise package is Mahesh's dance moves in the Bang Bang and Mind Block songs. They are amazing and will be a treat for the fans.

Yet another main character in the film is portrayed by Vijayashanti and she makes an impressive and powerful comeback. All her emotional family scenes with Mahesh are heart touching and bring depth to the proceedings. They both share great chemistry on screen.

Prakash Raj as a baddie impresses yet again and so is the case with Ajay. It's good to see Sangeetha on the screen after a gap and she is fine with her role. Rashmika, Rao Ramesh are also okay.

Coming to the direction, Anil Ravipudi, who has a very good track record in handling comedy proves his mettle yet again with Sarileru Neekevvaru. Though the film addresses a serious theme, Anil narrated the proceedings by inserting fun elements at regular intervals.

Plus Points:

Mahesh Babu's energy and makeover
Vijayashanthi's role
Comedy

Minus Points:

Predictable narration
DSP's background score

Verdict:

All in all, Sarileru Neekevvaru is a perfect family entertainer packed with good commercial elements. Mahesh Babu's comedy timing and intense performance will impress the audience big-time. But the lack of freshness in the story may not go well with a section of the audience. Leaving that aside, considering the Sankranthi season, the film has bright chances to emerge victorious at the box office. Go watch and enjoy it.
