Hyderabad, March 10: Praja Shanti Party (PSP) president and Christian evangelist KA Paul received a huge jolt from the Election Commission of India (EIC).
From this aspect, YSR Congress Party senior leader YV Subba Reddy on behalf of his party had filed a complaint with the EC against KA Paul's PSP electoral symbol, the helicopter.
The YSRCP filed a complaint against the Praja Shanti Party helicopter election symbol stating that it was similar to the YCP party symbol, which is a ceiling fan.
The opposition YCP stated in their complaint to the EC that the helicopter symbol was similar to their party's fan symbol and could lead to confusion among voters.
KA Paul had earlier slammed YSRCP and YS Jagan over their complaint to the EC regarding party symbols and similarity. The Christian evangelist also went to the extent of questioning YS Jagan's intelligence and sensibility over confusing a helicopter and fan.
KA Paul is also said to have countered the complaint but his counter was allegedly not taken into consideration by the EC.
Now, the Election Commission has reportedly directed the PSP and KA Paul to chose another electoral symbol for his Praja Shanti party.
