Big Jolt to Telangana Congress

Hyderabad, March 10: Yet another jolt to Telangana Congress party, Nakirekal MLA Chirumarthi Lingayya announced his resignation from the party to join the ruling TRS.

The senior Congress leader stated that he is changing the party to aid development in the state. He also told media that he didn't agree with Congress's oppression to TRS’s irrigation schemes and that he didn’t want to continue in a party that obstructs development.

Lingayya recently met TRS Chief KCR at his residence and expressed interest in joining his party. The CM is said to have readily invited him into the party.
