Andhra Pradesh: First Woman launches New Political Party

Vijayawada, Aug 23: In a latest political development, Araku MP Kothapalli Geetha has launched a New Political Party named as 'Jana Jagruthi' in Vijayawada here on Friday.

While speaking at the meeting, She recalled the reasons for stepping into politics. She said, she became an MP with the blessings of Araku people and her aim is to safeguard the rights of Tribals. Geetha revealed about her inner conflict for doing something for the common man & women which has made her to form a new party.

Kothapalli Geetha announced her party name as 'Jana Jagruthi' and launched the party flag in Vijayawada. She assured to work for the poor and under privileged irrespective of casts.

Kothapalli Geetha was elected as Araku MP on YSR Congress Ticket in 2014 Elections. After winning the election, Kothapalli Geetha left YSRCP and took the shelter of TDP, but finally, she maintained equal distance from both these parties.

She, however, didn't take much time to shift loyalties to the ruling TDP.

In the past one year, The Parliamentarian maintained good relations with BJP. Recently, She had even sent a letter to YCP informing about her decision to resign for the primary membership of the party.

There is lot of buzz about the political party Kothapalli Geetha would be preferring to contest 2019 Polls. Will it be TDP or BJP?
