AP CM Naidu to inaugurate 3 smart city projects

Vijayawada, Aug 23: The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate three smart city projects that have been completed by spending Rs. 23.58 crore and lay the foundation for another seven that are estimated to cost Rs. 368.14 crore during his visit to the city on Thursday,

Street-lighting project

The Chief Minister will inaugurate the standalone solar street-lighting project from Coastal Battery to Park Hotel completed at a cost of Rs. 8.72 crore, the 2 MW floating solar plant in the Mudarsarlova reservoir costing Rs. 11.36 crore, and the All Abilities Park costing Rs. 3.5 crore.

Mr. Naidu will lay the foundation for development of 20 smart streets measuring 19.43 km in the Area Based Development (ADB) at a cost of Rs. 164 crore.

The other projects for which he will lay the stone are sewerage network in Peda Jalaripeta, replacement of the gravity line from Durgalamma temple to 38 MLD sewage treatment plant at Town Kotha Road and retrofitting of four STPs covering the ADB area (Rs. 67.68 crore)

# Construction of sports arena at M.V.P. Colony (Rs. 25.5 crore);

# Multi-level mechanical semi-automatic car parking at Jagadamba Junction for 100 cars (Rs. 9.7 crore).

# Solar power plant of 1.5 MW at Krishnapuram water treatment plant (Rs. 8.7 crore) and 1 MW at Mudasarlova (Rs. 6.16 crore), and 24 X 7 water supply in the ABD Area (Rs. 86.4 crore).
