Rahul Gandhi left for Bidar to address a Public meeting

Hyderabad, Aug 13: Hyderabad, Aug 13: Congress President Rahul Gandhi arrived at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad near here on Monday. He left for Bidar to address a public meeting in Karnataka.

On his maiden visit to Telangana after becoming the Congress President, Rahul Gandhi would address women Self-Help Groups, students and unemployed youth, entrepreneurs and others in separate events in Hyderabad on Monday and Tuesday.

Rahul Gandhi tweeted that, " I will be in Bidar, Karnataka to address a public meeting at the Nehru Stadium today, at noon. Later this afternoon and all of tomorrow, I will be in Hyderabad to meet citizens, Congress party workers and leaders."

"The visit would give a definite boost to the party. This is his first visit to Telangana after becoming party president. He played a key role in the formation of Telangana," Deputy Leader of Congress in State Legislative Council P Sudhakar Reddy told media.

Rahul Gandhi today continued his attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Rafale deal. At a rally in Karnataka's Bidar today, Mr Gandhi reiterated his earlier challenge to PM Modi for a debate on Rafale.

"Make me debate with Modi on Rafale for as long as you can, for as many hours as you can... and he would not be able to speak for one second," he said, reiterating the party's graft charges against the government.

On Tuesday, Gandhi would hold a tele-conference with 31,600 booth committee presidents, mandal and district Congress presidents and also state unit office bearers.

He would then have an interaction with various media editors and bureau chiefs for an hour at the hotel where he would be staying. Later, Gandhi would address about 150 young industrialists and CEOs from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

In the evening, Gandhi would attend a public meeting for students and unemployed youth at Saroornagar stadium. Gandhi would leave for Delhi by 8.30 that night.
