Karunanidhi Impact on Vishwaroopam-2

Chennai, Aug 08: Versatile Actor Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam 2, which was supposed to be released this Friday, August 10, is rumored to have been postponed following the death of DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi.

The latest update says that the film's release may be pushed to August 15th.

From this aspect, Kamal Haasan will issue a statement officially soon on the updated release date of Vishwaroopam 2.



Five-time Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi passed away on Tuesday at 6.10 pm at Kauvery Hospital in Chennai. "Despite the best possible efforts by our team of doctors and nurses to resuscitate him, he failed to respond. We profoundly mourn the loss of one of the tallest leaders of India and we share the grief of family members and fellow Tamilians worldwide," the press release from the hospital said.

As a respect to M Karunanidhi, Kamal felt that it would be better to push the release date. The actor promoted the film widely in all the languages and it has been made on a massive budget.

Kamal's Rajkamal Films International along with Aascar Films bankrolled Vishwaroopam 2.
