Telangana: 100 crores for Bonalu

Hyderabad, July 31: Telangana minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav has participated in Bonalu Jathara in Secunderabad Ujjaini Mahankali Temple.

All the arrangements for the Telangana traditional festival Bonalu were made under in Hyderabad under the guidance of minister Talasani.

On Sunday he has presented Golden Bonam to Ujjaini Mahankali on behalf of TS govt following the orders of CM KCR. Taking an active part in Bonalu Jathara, Talasani Srinivas Yadav danced for the TS folk songs as a part of Pothuraju jathara.

Speaking to media after today's Rangam programme, the minister accepted that devotees had to face minor problems. Jogini Syamala should understand that when there are lakhs of devotees such small lapses happen. The government has spent Rs 100 crore for Bonalu Festivities in the city.

Talasani brushed aside Syamala's comment that the state government would fall and said her comments against the government was not correct. He went on to say that Bonalu was a huge success with an unprecedented number of devotees and even foreigners participating in the celebrations.
