Mumbai, July 31: Alert Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel and commuters stopped a man from committing suicide on tracks at Mumbai's Kurla station.
The incident, which took place on Monday around 1:30 pm, was recorded in a CCTV camera installed at the station. It is heard that, the man was reportedly upset over family issues.
Going by details, Man identified as Narendra Damaji Kotekar, suddenly jumped off platform number 6 and lied on the railway track. In no time, other commuters and RPF took note of his action and rushed to his aid.
Considering the urgency of the situation and Kotekar’s unwillingness to leave the track on his own, a group of 4-5 people simply carried him to the safety of the platform.
The man said that he was fed up with family issues and which is why he tried to commit suicide. Later on, the man was handed over to his family after police verification.
