Bhopal, July 30: A few Days back Cyber crime police of Bhopal busted an inter-state cybercrime gang involved in cloning debit cards using skimmers at SBI ATM at Sevay Complex in Gulmohar Colony last year and had withdrawn Rs 17.36 lakh using the cloned debit cards in Ahmedabad from various customers.

From this aspect, The Police officials team traced one of the accused persons who was found active in Mumbai and was identified as Mohammad Hussain Hakam of Phydhoni in Mumbai.

After the fraud came to fore, a complaint was lodged on July 8, 2017, and CCTV footages of all the cameras installed in the area and nearby areas were searched and shared across the country to establish the identity of the fraudsters.

During the investigation, police got vital link regarding the accused who was in Mumbai and traced him. For the next three months, his movements were tracked and later he was nabbed from Reliance Mall at Kalka road.

The accused confessed that the gang is active for the past six years and has visited the state capital twice. Police said that the Hussain was booked for robbery while another member of gang Faizan escaped to Dubai or Saudi Arab.

The gang has targeted Mumbai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Shimla, Surat cities. The 11 member gang includes 4 women.

Here is the latest news that, According to the sources, one of woman father is Big Builder in the city, but due to the addiction of drugs and others she is doing this type of illegal acts. Moreover, her father gives her 50000 rupees for her pocket money monthly.

Faizan, Hussain, Ayesh, and Sameera came to the city. The gang has withdrawn more than Rs 1 crore confessed the accused. The accused has been sent under police custody for 8 days. The search for the other gang members would be done based on the information provided by the accused in the further investigation.
