Hyderabad: 'Drunk & Drive' turns test for Cops

Hyderabad, July 28: The Police of Hyderabad conducted 'drunk and drive' checks and registered 126 cases against violators for driving vehicles in a blind drunk condition at Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills in the late night hours of Friday.

The police seized as many as 62 cars and 64 two-Wheeler vehicles. A few girls have created fuss after they caught in the drive. Singer Sipligunj Rahul and comedian Lobo were also caught in the checks.



A man was caught in an intoxicated condition during the checks in Hyderabad on Friday night. However, he created a fray by attempting suicide as he laid down in the middle of a busy road.

The police and journalists intruded and took him to safety. Speaking to the media, the man shared that he has been consuming alcohol as there are issues in his family and wants to end his life.

Despite the hard-nosed measures, the youth are not changing their attitude. The violators will be given counselling at Begumpet Traffic police station.
