Woman gets bail in husband murder case

Hyderabad: The woman who murdered her husband and tried to pass off her paramour as his replacement was released on bail from Mahbubnagar district jail on Friday. As nobody from her family came to receive her, she was sent to a State home in Mahbubnagar town, police said.

Swathi Reddy was the prime accused in the sensational murder of her husband Sudhakar Reddy - a businessman in Nagarkurnool district, on December 10 last year.

"She admitted to planning the murder of her husband along with her paramour Rajesh and was arrested on December 10," the police said.

Rajesh had executed a drama by claiming himself to be Sudhakar Reddy by disfiguring his face and then getting admitted to hospital. It was only then Sudhakar's parents sensed something dubious and police started an exploration resulting in the arrest of the duo.
