Telangana: Will KCR hand-over to KTR?

Hyderabad, July 23: It seems to be that TRS President and Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is under pressure to move to New Delhi, leaving the state in the hands of his son K T Rama Rao.

In accordance with the ground sources, KCR has been facing a lot of pressure from his family to make way for KTR, with the fast-approaching elections.

As one, his son KTR has initiated getting public statements from party leaders asking him to take over the 'Power & control' of the state after 2019.

Last week, Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy demanded that KTR should be made the chief minister and said that the state would progress faster under his direction.

Though Nayani is a follower of KCR, he had to make the statement under load from KTR.

A couple of other ministers, too, have made related statements in the recent times. And the officials are also defending the same view saying that telling something to KTR would mean doing the same with the chief minister.

Though KCR is still healthy and sharp, he has no choice but to listen to his family. So, he started making an endeavor to drift a federal front hoping that it might sling him to the Prime Minister's seat in Delhi.

He met other regional party leaders like Mamata Banerjee, Hemanth Soren, H D Deve Gowda, Akhilesh Yadav and M K Stalin, but all of them had only intimated at taking the Congress along with them.

That is literally why KCR got rid of the federal front idea and decided to join the party principle of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

The fact that he is covering up with the BJP was noticeable in many of his moves and the latest is the prohibition of voting on the 'no-confidence motion' against Modi government.

It would not only help keep the Congress, his biggest competitor in Telangana at the strait but also retrieve the necessary financial assistance to the state so that the TRS can get back to power for the 2nd term.

@Point to be observed:

~ He might not prefer a Union minister post, but he may try his luck in a race for a Vice-President (or) President after 5 years.
